I really suck at this whole blog thing

This has been an uneventful and hot summer. That is my excuse for the lack of posts, and I'm sticking to it. Hah! Well, one really cool thing did happen this summer....I bought a new car. Not new to me, but brand spankin' new. I believe it only had 50 some miles on it when I drove it off the lot.



My new car is a 2006 White Toyota Corolla S like the one pictured. It has a sunroof, which might not sound that exciting, but to me I couldn't be more thrilled. The ol' Ford Contour was on it's last leg, and literally sputtered out when I pulled it around to transfer my personal items from one car to the other. It was a good car though. We were together for 8 years, and about 80,000 miles, back and forth from Rapid City to Minneapolis and Chicago. I loved that car when I first got it, but at 96,000 it was finally time to let it go and say goodbye. No looking back.

My Toyota is a stick shift, so that was a little tricky for a girl that's never owned a manual in my life. I think I scared the crap out of Trent that first week, but now I am more or less a pro. The gas mileage is also INCREDIBLE! I am able to get around 32MPG in the city, and 41MPG on the highway, which in this day and age is a huge money saver. Damn Bush, and these extreme gas prices!

So that's pretty much it so far. My life is pretty boring. I will/must/need to do better about posting, although I don't know if anyone reads here anymore. Oh Well! Happy August!
